Khalid Al Jassim

Born in Manama, Bahrain on April 9th, 1968, Khalid Al Jassim holds an Executive MBA with honors from Pepperdine University, California. During his graduate degree tenure, Khalid was a marketing coordinator with AST Research in Orange County, California from 1991 until 1993. Prior to that, he obtained his under graduate degree from California State University, Long Beach, with double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. Moreover, Khalid attended several Executive Education programs in Stanford University, Harvard and London Business School.
Khalid's professional career started with National Chemical Industries Corporation, a subsidiary of SABIC in Saudi Arabia as head of Marketing for three years. After that, he joined Arthur Andersen, Bahrain, in the consultancy division. During his short one year with Arthur Andersen, Khalid was head of high profile engagements such as, the Arab Open University with Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal, the automation of the private office of Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad al Khalifa (prior to his appointment as CP), the formation of policies and procedures for the Civil Aviation Authority of Bahrain, and efficiency assessment of the Central Planning Unit of the Government of Bahrain. In 1998 Khalid joined Arcapita (formerly known as First Islamic Investment Bank). He was instrumental in forming the bank’s vision, mission and strategy. His responsibilities ranged from establishing the placement team to handling the Information Technology and Administration departments. He excelled and was promoted to the Executive Directorship title in less than four years. In his 16 years with the Bank, Khalid became a member of the Management Investment Committee, Management Administration Committee and head of placement MENA region. He single handedly placed more than 50% of the total funds raised by the bank. In Summary, Khalid's educational and professional background has crafted him into a multidimensional and multi skilled entrepreneurial leader with great communication and relationship building competencies.

Rashed is also the Chairman of the Karmastaji Group, a Dubai based privately owned multi-sector group of companies spanning real estate investment and development, marketing and telecommunications. Rashed has transacted over US$ 300 million in Dubai real estate since 2005.

Currently the Vice Chairman and CEO of Energy City Qatar, Hesham Al-Emadi has held a number of key positions in the energy and investment industry. Having been a Senior Researcher, Industrial Investment expert and having many years of experience in the field of Energy, Hesham has valuable know-how of the industry. Prior to joining Energy City Qatar, Hesham Al-Emadi established an Industrial Assessment Program in the GCC in order to help improve and make a difference in the energy sector.

Head of Business Development
Tamara currently heads the Business Development division of TGIC. Possessing over 18 years experience in the financial sector and specializing in private equity, M & A, debt raising and advisory, she has led and executed a number of medium and high profile transactions in Qatar and globally. She brings in expert knowledge in transaction structuring, transaction processing, financial analysis & modeling, due diligence, feasibility studies, risk assessment, legal documentation, etc.
Formerly, Tamara held the title of Head of Corporate Finance at both Ocean Advisory and Consulting W.L.L (Qatar) and Atlantic Capital Group W.L.L (Qatar). Prior to that Tamara was employed at Commercial Bank of Ceylon’s, leasing subsidiary for 10 years as the Manger Operations & Credit, specializing in corporate & retail credit, overlooking credit administration, risk management, underwriting, securities, insurance & branch operations. Tamara was also instrumental in introducing many structured & tailor made products to the organization, requiring her be intimately knowledgeable about credit & lending regulations, legal issues, policies and procedures, and a practical business experience.
Tamara possess a Higher National Diploma in Business Management from ABE United Kingdom and a Diploma in Credit Management from the Institute of Credit Management, Sri Lanka. She is currently reading for her MBA.
